“Cold, in the dark, wanting electricity for Christmas.
A week after a winter storm slammed nearly a million people in several states into darkness, 100,000 homes and businesses still don’t have electricity in Oklahoma and Kansas. Many have added being broke to shivering in the darkness. They spent money on food to prepare for the storm, and without electricity, it rotted. ……someone tell me why would you spend money on perishable food to prepare for a storm! Especially when you have been living in states known for storms in every season. Has no-one seen Wizard of Oz? Why haven’t residents harnessed the power of solar energy? Why are homes still made of wood in places where a tornado can rip one to shreds in 10 seconds, or places like Malibu, CA, where a wood home is recurrently destroyed by wild fires! “Oh well I guess we can build again! Even though our most precious pictures, and memories are ashes….hey didn’t this happen 3 years ago?…Deja-vu!” Did we not learn from the 3 little Pigs? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!!!!
